It is a minimum qualification for DA representative or secondary school 1stXI coaches. It focusses on planning, the role of the coach, skill acquisition, growth and maturation, umpiring, cricket skills and demonstrating an understanding of effective coaching.

These coaches are traditionally, experienced development coaches who have shown ability in coaching more talented athletes, former elite players who have shown a desire to become involved in coaching, former high-performance coaches who no longer have the time to be involved at a high-performance level or professional coaches.
This course is by application only and is intended for elite coaches who have had a considerable period of successful coaching experience and a commitment to coaching at a high level.
In we are offering two Level 2 Courses; Level 2 Refresher Course This course is for those coaches who have completed the Level 2 course prior to or who currently hold an equivalent international qualification and need to refresh the course to be deemed qualified here in NZ.
Coaches who apply should be coaching currently and actively looking to develop further. This course has limited space and applications will not be taken after the closing date, attendees must be able to attend all sessions.
